Lorraine Aaron
Lorraine’s background as a professional artist making large scale public sculptures, led her to work closely with architects and developers, helping them to plan for and integrate art into buildings and civic spaces. This fired her interest in architecture but also in the unique possibilities for art to enhance our experience of the spaces we live in and how this can affect our happiness and wellbeing.
In December 2015, she launched Curious Egg – an interior design practice, online interiors boutique and art gallery.
Curious Egg offers an interior design service that places art at the very centre of creating beautiful and soulful interiors. Lorraine’s ‘Art first’ approach uses art thinking at the very early stages of a project to create adventurous yet relaxed living spaces that are designed around the individuality of the client, their lifestyle and the character of their home. Intriguing material combinations, textures and unexpected detailing are key elements in her work.
Her extensive experience in collaborating with other artists has enabled her to establish a wide network of makers from which she can commission artworks, furniture and objects on behalf of other designers, architects and developers. She also designs her own bespoke pieces for private client’s interiors.
Lorraine lives in Perthshire with her husband and works across Scotland, London and outer areas.
