Holly Ormrod-Stebbings
Holly is a Chartered Architect who owns and runs Astrid Architects, a successful small company based in Sheffield. Specialising in residential design she previously worked on developer housing projects in London, collaborating closely with interior designers. Her focus is now on bespoke residential projects for homeowner clients, offering architecture as a way to bring joy to people's lives. Her passion in design is listening to her clients and getting to really understand their needs, and she calls on her own experience of being a mum of two young children to design clever ways to create more space, light and storage for families on a budget.
Holly trained in Architecture at both Sheffield universities, then gained Distinction in her Part III Postgraduate Diploma in Leeds. She subsequently undertook an optional Masters thesis on the subject of representation of architects in the media. She believes in promoting diversity in the profession and hopes to become a role model particularly for women entering the field in education and training, having recently mentored students at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.
Holly lives in Sheffield with her husband, two children and cat, and she is currently embarking on her own home extension and renovation project. She enjoys gardening, art and music, and has an extensive gin collection
